This gentle modality allows you to relax, fully clothed. You can expect, some discussion about your health concerns and symptoms, some muscle monitoring, postural assessment, energetic chakra work, and some gentle pressure on meridians or acupoints to support you in your wellness goals.
If you have experienced Acupuncture (or dry needling) then you may have some insight as to the way in which TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) works with meridians (channels) and acupoints. In Kinesiology we use these same meridians and acupoints but without needling. Instead we use gentle pressure, or may palpate the meridian line.
As for the muscle monitoring, you may be asked to raise or hold your limbs at a particular angle, but only within your range of motion and not beyond what is comfortable for you.
